Policies and procedures

Cancellation Policy:

        Our time together is important. Art of Healing Massage Stew-dio has a 24 Hour Cancellation Policy. If you need to Change or Cancel your appointment, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $75 cancellation fee applied to your credit card or package on file. Clients who cancel within 3 hours of their appointment or who do not show up/or inform us will be charged in full. Cancellations will be accepted by appropriate phone message, voice mail, or email.

Payment Method:

        Credit Card payments are required to book all appointments. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, your card on file will be charged.

Safety/Conduct:

        I follow the New York State guidelines for Co-vid procedures. However, if you do not want to wear a mask or would like the therapist to wear a mask please communicate with me. It is totally up to your comfortability. 


        As professional licensed therapists, we are dedicated to providing a completely safe and enjoyable experience for our clients. Our work is strictly therapeutic and non-sexual. Any sexual comments or advances will result in immediate termination of the session.

New Clients:

        Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out a health intake form, and to discuss with your therapist what you’d like to focus on. If you are late to your session, we will do our best to accommodate you for the time you have left without penalizing the following client. Clients who are over 20 minutes late will be asked to reschedule their appointment. 

Pregnant Clients:

        Please specify that you are pregnant when booking. If you are scheduling an appointment for your partner or a friend who is expecting, you must notify us upon booking the reservation. 

Refund Policy:

        Due to the nature of our business, Art of Healing Massage Stew-dio does not offer refunds for massage services or packages. Store credits are non-transferable and can not be shared.

Gratuities:

         Gratuities are greatly appreciated by the LMT and are accepted in Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, or good old Cash.

        An average tip for a 60 minute massage is $20 -$30, and $30 - $40 for a 90 minute massage.

Discount Packages:

         Discounted Packages are available for purchase. Packages may not be shared with another client, or combined with other offers or discounts. Inquire for more details. 

Lateness Policy:

          My massage therapy policies state: If you arrive late for your appointment, the time left will be used to its best advantage. If the massage therapist is late for the appointment, you will be allowed to rebook session or we can extend the time of the session so you can get your full time and desired experience. 

Sickness Policy:

         Art of Healing Massage Stew-dio recognizes that both massage therapists and clients are vulnerable to infections and therefore ask clients to cancel appointments when they are feeling unwell. If you have any of the following contagious illnesses the massage session will be rescheduled: Co-vid 19, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Chicken Pox, Measles, Mumps, Meningitis, Hepatitis A, Conjunctivitis, Rubella, Head Lice, Impetigo, Influenza, Meningococcal Disease, Polio, Ringworm of the body, feet or scalp, Scabies, Thrush, Whooping Cough and the Common Cold.

Confidentiality and Conversation-

        Any discussion between the massage therapist and the client is confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the massage. 

I am happy to listen to your conversation and give my thoughts and advice if wanted. I prefer to not discuss topics of a political or religious nature. 

I may be required to release records under a court order, or to your doctor.

Sanitation and Hygiene

        All equipment and linens that come in contact with the client will be cleaned and properly sanitized. All lubricants will be dispensed in a contamination-free manner. Before and after each massage, the massage therapist’s hands and forearms will be washed with hot soapy water and a disinfecting solution.
